Carmen grew up on farm in Water Valley, AB where she cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and cows with her family. After graduating from high school, Carmen moved to Calgary where she studied and worked as an administrative assistant at SAIT. After a few years in this field she decided to pursue her passion of working with animals. Carmen is currently studying Animal Health Technology at Olds College and will graduate in the summer of 2012.

Carmen lives in Calgary with her boyfriend, and their two dogs, Molly and Brody. Molly is a chocolate lab and Brody is a chihuahua.  Despite their breed differences, they are the best of friends!

Carmen enjoys music and reading, going to the off-leash dog park, and of course learning about everything animal-related and snuggling with cuddly creatures as often as she can.
