Dr. Karen Lodge grew up in Sudbury Ontario before moving to Port Moody BC, the westcoast city she now calls “home”. Her love for animals and compassion and concern for their well being started at a young age, and was fueled by her lovely family dog Bailey who knew pretty much every trick in the book!
Karen received her Bachelor of Science with specialization in Biochemistry from the U of A, and her DVM from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Karen recently moved from Saskatoon and joined the Shawnessy team, moving her closer to family and the mountains! Karen has special interests in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Karen has a rescue cat named Cinder and a rescue dog named Black”Jack”. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and travelling.
