Sandy moved to Calgary when she was 9 years old, and Calgary has been home ever since. After attending SAIT for 3 years where she took Business Management and was part of the silver medal winning SAIT Trojans Women’s Hockey team, she decided that it was time to find a career that had meaning. In the summer of 2008 Sandy graduated from Olds College with her Animal Health Technologist diploma and has not looked back. Sandy worked in a mixed animal practice in Turner Valley for 5 years where she was able to work with dogs, cats, cows and Horses prior to joining the team at Shawnessy South Pet Hospital.
In her time off work Sandy and her finance Wayne love to be in the outdoors canoeing, kayaking, hiking, climbing, ice climbing and somewhere in there she plays competitive women’s hockey. Sandy resides in Turner Valley with Wayne and their 2 cats, Milo and Kat.
